The darkness lengthened, stretching towards me like grasping claws. A bone-deep wind swept through the trees, rustling their vines with an eerie sigh. My spirit pounded in my belly as I perceived that something was wrong. A figure, shifting, began to emerge from the darkness. Its form were indist
